DARPA has been scouring inventor's conferences lately with a new goal in mind: an inexpensive brain scanner that can be distributed to the troops. Imagine a piece of kit that could pair with a phone app and be used as a detail lie detector when interrogating someone - hopefully at about 30 dollars per unit.
