Later this year, Felix Baumgartner will be making quite a jump. His plan is to take a helium ballon to the edge of the atmosphere - and step out the door in a pressurized suit, and jump. NASA is announcing a project called 'Puffin' - a tiny, personal VTOL (vertical take off and landing) vehicle ... like a little Osprey V22, but personal size. Unlike an Osprey, it will only hold one person, and tilt in flight - rather than have the blades switch orientation. A quick view of the animation will explain it all.

Audi showed off another prototype hybrid at the Detroit Auto Show - 'The e-Tron'. Targeted for sale in 2012, this concept is smaller and somewhat sportier than past attempts. The goal is to create an efficient car that isn't dull. It looks like they're headed in the right direction.
