The Anti-iPod...


The US government is working on how to break your iPod. A new prototype 'e-bomb' is being tested - the idea being to create an electromagnetic pulse over a large area that disables all electronic devices, but not harm people. The newest breakthrough is a reduction in size. Previous devices were too large to be self contained.

The DARPA group has awarded a contract to the Raytheon Corporation to develop a laser based 'underground radar'. By using lasers to read minute feedback from vibrations, the new system would be able to 'see' underground tunnels and hidden machinery. The entire system will be small enough to transport by truck, or installed in a drone.
