The DARPA group has awarded a contract to the Raytheon Corporation to develop a laser based 'underground radar'. By using lasers to read minute feedback from vibrations, the new system would be able to 'see' underground tunnels and hidden machinery. The entire system will be small enough to transport by truck, or installed in a drone.
