Scientists working in Israel have isolated the protein responsible for Alzheimer's - and figured out how to turn it into inexpensive body armor. Turns out the protein is one of the hardest organic substances known. Other advantages include being able to 'print' the protein into usable shapes.

Rock climbing is a great workout - and it's usually not very scary... except this one in the Netherlands. The Excalibur climbing wall at the Bjoeks Climb Center at Groningen stands 121 feet tall. It's the tallest climbing wall in the world.

Electro-Jag...
Shown at the Paris Auto Show, the Jaguar C-X75 Super Car concept vehicle turned a lot of heads. Built to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Jaguar, it showcases many interesting pieces of tech. It's powered by 4 micro gas turbines - used to charge lithium ion batteries. It's not bad looking, either.

The tops...
The Israeli Department of Defense has developed the world's smallest gyroscope. These little gyros the size of a grain of sand work with lasers to measure minute changes. These would be extremely useful in creating GPS coordinates for places where signals can't reach (in a shielded building or deep underground, for example)

Somewhat better...
There aren't too many bluetooth headsets that are attractive - the new 'Oasis' from Motorola is certainly a step up. After much research, there are many features that may not leap out at first glance - dual microphones, noise cancellation, dedicated mute button, and 6 hours of talk time. Cost: about 80 USD.
