If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area, and you're looking for a moody and mysterious location for some clandestine plotting - consider 'The Edison'. A new bar located in the basement of the Higgins building, it's built incorproating many of the interesting architectural elements. Take a look at their groovy website:

Helpful hint number 1: On the website, go to the tour page - on the map, click on the little icons that look like old cameras to get pictures of the interior.
Helpful hint number 2: If you go, dress up a bit. The door code can be unpredictable. Wear some dress shoes just to be safe. Yes, I know that sounds kind of crazy since we're talking about Los Angeles, but it's good advice.
