If you're thinking you might like to get away for a while, you might be interested in 'The Sub BioSphere 2'. Based on the original biosphere experiments, this extends the idea to a marine based enclosed environment. As envisioned, the enclosed structures could either float or submerge while housing a variety of ecological systems.
