Researchers at the University of Utah have figured out that it's possible to discern what's going on in a room based on Wi-Fi signal strength. Granted, it takes several receivers placed strategically - but, it uses inexpensive off the shelf technology. No word on if tinfoil wallpaper changes the situation.
